Judy Lubin, MPH is a women’s health and lifestyle expert, speaker, syndicated blogger, consultant and author of The Heart of Living Well: Six Principles for a Life of Health, Beauty and Balance. Judy translates and distills health and medical information to inform and educate audiences on how to take better care of their personal and family health.
She is the founder and Editor of HeartandStyleWoman.com, an online health and lifestyle destination that delivers inspiring and informative health and wellness information to a diverse audience of women. A frequent guest speaker, commentator and spokesperson on women’s health, women’s heart health, mind-body health, and general wellness and public health topics, Judy is a spokesperson for the Cheerios Circle of Helping Hearts and Cheerios Sisters Saving Hearts national women’s heart health campaigns Judy has written for websites, television and radio has been featured on national and local media including Boston Women’s Journal, Ebony Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Chicago Sun Times, Reuters, XM Satellite Radio, NetPulse, Onyx Woman Magazine, Star Telegram and Observer Newspapers.
Judy is also president of Public Square Communications, a health communications and social marketing company that develops and manages innovative programs for reaching and marketing company that develops and manages innovative programs for reaching and empowering women, families and communities. She has served as an advisor and consultant to nationally recognized organizations and agencies, helping to launch and support a variety of health campaigns for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF), WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women and Heart Disease, Leadership for Healthy Communities, Black Women’s Health Imperative and National Urban League.
An effective advocate and fundraiser, Judy has built an impressive track record for raising money, awareness, and support for some of today’s most pressing women’s, health and social issues. She has worked on national campaigns including the National Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign sponsored by the Ad Council and the Office on Women’s Health and Super Sunday National Breast Cancer Awareness initiative. She is a former coordinator and facilitator for the National Minority AIDS Council’s Women of Color Advocacy Program and a former coach for the Atlanta Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day, where she successfully coached and supported over 400 women, helping to raise over $1 million dollars to support the Avon Foundation’s breast cancer education, research and treatment programs. Most recently, Judy was honored by the General Mills Foundation with a Cheerios Sisters Saving Hearts Award for her commitment to fighting heart disease among African American women.
A former Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Public Health Fellow and University of Tennessee, Knoxville Ronald McNair Scholar, Judy holds a Bachelor of Psychology from Florida State University and a Master of Public Health in Behavioral Sciences from Emory University.
