- Take time for yourself. Stress can raise your risk of heart disease. Practice yoga, meditate, take regular walks and explore other ways to combat stress.
- Need to lower your cholesterol? Eat a fiber rich diet that includes whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables.
- If you smoke, quit. Quitting smoking is the one of the best ways to immediately improve your heart health.
