Cheerios® and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Inc. are seeking nominations for awards totaling $25,000 in Sisters Saving Hearts grants. Sisters Saving Hearts is a grassroots grant-giving program that will award five $5,000 grants to individuals or service organizations that have taken the seriousness of heart disease and are working within the African-American community to raise awareness for heart disease prevention.
Judy Lubin, a 2007 Cheerios® Sisters Saving Hearts Grant winner says, “The Cheerios Sisters Saving Hearts Grant was established last March. It is a three-year initiative designed to honor individual who have shown a commitment to promote heart health among African-American women. I was one of five recipients last year to receive a Sisters Saving Hearts Grant for the work that I have been doing around heart disease prevention.” Full Story
