Every now and then you hear a song that touches your heart. Well, this song does that, literally. A friend mentioned Kina Grannis’ Message from Your Heart after seeing a 60-second ad featuring the singer and the song during the Super Bowl.

Kina won Doritos’ Crash the Super Bowl singing contest and now has a record deal. In his words, “since you’re all about the heart you might want to check that song out.” So it wasn’t a ringing endorsement, but it was enough to get me googling the song the next day. The lyrics to this song are absolutely beautiful. Naturally, I am attracted to this song because it’s all about honoring “your most devoted body part” that is always “taking blood and making art.” Kina offers a heart health message we all need hear.
